PRISM is a mixed-use high-rise near the iconic Hongyadong scenic spot, located in the Yuzhong Peninsula at the intersection of two rivers in Chongqing, China. The project is designed to harmonize with the area’s historical character while addressing its spatial disarray, bringing order and coherence to the site by integrating commercial, cultural, residential, and office spaces seamlessly.
Perched on a dramatic cliff with over 50 meters of elevation difference, PRISM offers sweeping views of the city and river, blending effortlessly into the surrounding architecture to create a stunning urban landscape.
The design features a dynamic mix of functions:
Podium: The lower levels house commercial spaces and a small exhibition hall, structured as four independent volumes linked by an underground atrium, sky corridors, and escalators.
Twin Towers: The upper levels are dedicated to private residences and offices, featuring bi-level rest spaces every two floors and a rooftop swimming pool.
Amenities: Additional features include a two-story underground parking garage, a fitness trail, a city terrace, and a river-view theater.
PRISM embodies the imagination of Chongqing's ideal mountain-city architecture. Its transparent, prism-like form not only reflects the purity of design but also captures the essence of Chongqing’s vibrant lifestyle, organizing its diverse elements into harmonious "chromatic dispersion." This concept inspired the project's name, symbolizing order emerging from complexity.
