The project is located at the core of Tianfu New Area, Chengdu’s first Central Business District. As part of Poly Developments’ high-end “Yue Series,” the project seeks to redefine contemporary urban living through refined craftsmanship and the philosophy of traditional Chinese dwelling culture, creating a humanistic collection for China’s knowledge-driven urban families.
The design commences with an imagined "bamboo forest," where the elevated ground floor blends seamlessly with nature, akin to a profound dialogue between the natural world and modern architecture. Upon entering this unique space, a glass box suspended over a water feature immediately captures attention—light, modern, and resembling an urban oasis that embodies the rhythm of slow living.
The color palette, featuring rock black, wood tones, and unique gray-green, reflects local characteristics, evoking the interplay of mountain rocks, trees, and flowing water. Through sophisticated play of light and shadow, combinations of diverse materials, and accents of artistic wall lamps, a noble, luxurious, and refined Oriental aesthetic atmosphere is outlined.
Cultural symbolism is further embedded through Jiaotu, one of the legendary nine dragon sons known for its preference for tranquility and its role as a guardian. Reinterpreted through contemporary design language and inspired by traditional blue-and-green Chinese landscape painting, Jiaotu becomes a bridge between heritage and modernity.
The reception area features flexible arrangements of single chairs, round tables, and curved sofas to cater to diverse needs. Inspired by Illustrations of Scenic Shu, varied seating forms and fluid circulation create a composite environment that invites exploration and social engagement. From bamboo-patterned carpets to woven textures and restrained lighting, the design follows the Eastern principle of meaningful restraint—expressing depth through simplicity.
As the "Fifth Space," it aims to energize the neighborhood in the name of sports, creating a central hub for athletic and social activities. It seamlessly connects living scenes with urban culture, building an ideal transition between indoors and outdoors. The design conjures an ambiance of "bounded mountains with lush paths, trees in the forecourt, and water in the garden," evoking a sense of stepping into a serene valley.
