Case Study: Casarte Luxury Care Experience Pavilion
A high-end retail space where Shu brocade heritage converses with contemporary design. The square-and-check pattern intrinsic to Shu brocade is extracted to structure the spatial logic, while the fabric’s woven texture is translated into partitions that gently divide the floorplan. A light corridor, inspired by the “three master crafts” of Shu brocade, deploys light-mapping technology to weave an immersive field where “technology forms the warp and art the weft.”
Functional zones unfold along a “display–experience–service” circulation:
• Entry: an LED wall and themed vitrine act as visual anchors.
• Care Zone: an open-plan area stages professional garment-care demonstrations.
• Salon & Lounge: soft furnishings carve out semi-private niches.
• Reception: an integrated coffee & tea bar conceals water-purification equipment behind seamless surfaces.
Located directly opposite the second-floor escalator, the pavilion faces the pedestrian mall through a full-height glazed façade that becomes a natural showcase. An outdoor camellia installation bridges interior and exterior realms.
This is the materialization of Casarte’s “Luxury Care Philosophy”—the interlocking of Shu brocade warp threads with precision-engineered gears, elevating luxury beyond materiality into an homage to the essence of living. Service transcends mere function to become a vessel for human emotion. The contemporary reinterpretation of Shu brocade motifs perpetuates cultural lineage while anchoring emotional connections to high-end lifestyles, ultimately forging an urban landmark where technology and warmth co-exist.
