The SITE Bar is located on Wuding Road, which is only 6 kilometers away from the Bund of Shanghai. There are many western-style houses. The French wutong trees along the street tell stories of history. Wuding Road starts from Shimen Second Road in the east and ends at Yanping Road in the west, forming a popular street in Shanghai along with Jiaozhou Road, Yanping Road, and Kangding Road. Modern and retro, trendy and nostalgic coexist, exuding a strong Shanghai style cultural atmosphere everywhere.
Originating from the real experience of customers living in South Latin America and the continuous inheritance of world culture, I want to apply this rich and colorful cultural, natural, and traditional living atmosphere to my own bar, allowing customers to enjoy a state of unrestrained and passionate atmosphere.
During the design process, the following three issues urgently need to be addressed. First, the dining area has chaotic traffic flow, with the flow of service personnel and customers intertwined. Second, the storefront sign is too small and not eye-catching enough, resulting in limited interaction between indoor and outdoor spaces. Third, the bar counter area is flat and lacks a visual center point. In response to these difficulties, the designer broke away from the original distribution line and re planned the combination of dual distribution lines, and formed a large circulation distribution line. In addition, the large opening of doors and windows has attracted many guests, doubled the occupancy rate, and also attracted the love of many foreign friends. They are particularly fond of the indoor atmosphere and wall paintings.
The indoor color is mainly brick red, sprayed with sandstone paint, combined with large areas of hand drawn wall paintings, full of artistic atmosphere. Many natural decorations in the store, such as Brazilian rattan and linen ornaments, and hanging paintings from South America, are sourced from overseas, presenting a rich hierarchy and connotation of the space. The lighting and ceiling decoration create a full atmosphere, and a color temperature of 10000-20000k can better create a romantic blue atmosphere. Multi level lighting creates specific ranges and visual effects.
