The four-meter-high space is flooded with light. In the open layout, a half-height bar, low walls, and transparent glass divide the space into different zones orderly and make them connected. Minimally-processed natural elements can prevent over-decorating and reduce waste. The clever use of contrasting colors and light layering add visual weight and richness to the space. As Salt&Pepper's motto goes, ingredients matter most. Salt&Pepper expands and deepens flavors in a dish with simple seasoning.
The glass windows on the exterior erase the boundary between indoors and outdoors. Meanwhile, they extend the space with the dark-colored frame. The lamps provide a lovely spread of light and bring a sense of warmth. In front of the door, the recreational vehicle parks in the open space. The concrete flooring has rough textures. All of these come together to create a dramatic contrast between fineness and roughness, gentleness and spontaneity. The out-of-the-box design epitomizes New York's street vibe at the entrance.
The first floor is divided into a mini supermarket, a seating area, a bar area, a light food area, and a kitchen. The hardened concrete flooring with polished surfaces is more resistant to abrasion and adds a sense of softness. Vertical facades feature dark tones. The right proportion of gray shades harmonizes gradient color palettes. The exposed pipelines on the canopy are covered with white paint to brighten up the space and achieve a balanced and harmonious color scheme with light and deep shades.
The half-open food preparation area provides transparency and fosters trust and interaction between waiting staff and customers. To inject a strong sense of human touch, the traditional boundaries are eliminated. The spacious seating area allows customers to move around with ease and have an enjoyable dining experience.
