Junzi Blue is a contemporary Shanghai-style French art residence exclusively tailored by Greentown for Yueqing. It is situated in the heart of Yueqing's main urban area, described as "the green axis of the city center, a low-density district within the urban core." Yueqing is "nestled between mountains and sea, harbored in the heart of a junzi (a man of virtue)." With the Yandang Mountains to the north and the East China Sea to the south, it has been renowned for its thriving literary culture since ancient times and is home to a rich collection of intangible cultural heritage, such as blue resist-dyeing (lan jiaxie). "Blue" is not only a thread in the city's cultural and chromatic lineage but also the signature color of the project. The overall design is anchored in contemporary Shanghai-style French art, with French architectural aesthetics as its structure and Shanghai-style humanistic temperament as its soul. It blends elegance, restraint, refinement, and inclusiveness in a contemporary expression, creating an artistic atmosphere imbued with local cultural character. Intangible cultural heritage elements, including blue resist-dyeing, are subtly integrated into the spatial details and reinterpreted through a modern design language, forming distinctive visual anchors. This approach extends the cultural lineage of this ancient millennium town while endowing the space with a richer artistic value.
