This project is a residential district landscape design located in the Yamenkou area inside the West Fifth Ring Road in Shijingshan District, Beijing, covering an area of 18,300 square meters. With the core theme of 'Elegant Living, Scholarly Community,' it leverages high-quality educational resources and complete amenities within a 3-kilometer radius of the site, integrating modern aesthetics with elite education characteristics to create a model school-area residential landscape in the central city and reshape the ideal living environment of Beijing's academic neighborhoods.
Designed with the core concept of 'Growing in Nature,' the architecture adopts a modern style, using light gray, dark gray, and earth tones as the base, with sharp lines interwoven with geometric blocks; the landscape complements this with natural, soft lines, blending rigidity and softness to create an integrated space, centered around two main courtyards in the north and south, creating a hidden green sanctuary within the city.
Overall, three distinctive spaces are created: the 'Realm of Spirit and Charm,' the 'Realm of the Canyon,' and the 'Realm of Joy,' connecting 12 major scenes to form an immersive homecoming experience. The Realm of Spirit and Charm features a hotel-style lobby and water landscape paths, using book imagery to echo the school district theme; the Realm of the Canyon creates multi-dimensional forest living landscapes such as ravines and cloud halls, returning to the essence of nature; the Realm of Joy builds a nature-integrated children's exploration park, realizing elite quality enlightenment through three sections: forest kitchen, museum, and outdoor adventure. At the same time, relying on six major value systems, design highlights such as linked homecoming pathways, sunlit underground spaces, and staggered vertical landscapes are achieved, while also accommodating seasonal viewing and all-age interaction.
The design integrates modern art with the aesthetics of nature, linking forested living spaces with greenery. Through the use of exquisite materials and detailed craftsmanship, it alleviates urban disturbances, meeting residents' needs for a naturally comfortable lifestyle while empowering the community with cultural, artistic, and educational functions, creating a spiritual retreat that combines aesthetics, functionality, and humanity.
