Spanning 7,480 square feet across three stories, this custom-built residence in Yunlin is a sanctuary designed for a business owner and his family. Rooted in the philosophy that "coming home is just coming home," the design abandons the idea of bringing work into the house, focusing instead on pure relaxation, family connection, and understated grandeur.
Rather than relying on excessive architectural shaping, the home achieves its profound sense of luxury through impeccable spatial proportions and the masterful application of high-end materials. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a striking foyer feature wall. To counteract the region’s intense heat, the designers went through over ten iterations to perfect a cooling, blue-patterned large-format tile. This is beautifully contrasted by custom antique bronze titanium-plated accents. Toned down from bright gold, this rich finish symbolizes a warm, welcoming sun, enhanced by soft circular lighting that rounds out the space.
The first floor serves as an elegant hosting wing, complete with a dedicated tea area for the homeowner. The visual anchor of the living room is the "Humanities Landscape" television wall. Crafted from luxury, jade-grade stone, the slabs were meticulously blended to evoke the majestic, ink-wash scenery of Mount Lu. A vibrant orange-red accent chair injects a lively modern pulse into the room, while a bespoke Italian MMG dining table anchors the adjacent culinary space. Because this home was built as a forever home for a generational client, the ground floor also includes a thoughtfully integrated suite for elderly parents.
The second floor transitions into a private family retreat. Featuring a smoky color palette and intricate three-dimensional material processing, this level houses the main entertainment area and the master suite. The master bedroom utilizes pearlescent, scratch-resistant PP boards to ensure effortless maintenance without sacrificing aesthetics. The design embraces a "square and round" conceptual motif, utilizing double-circle geometry to soften the orthogonal layout.
Expansive, pristine, and richly textured, this residence stands as a testament to the idea that true luxury lies in the flawless execution of the basics.
