The packaging of this liquor is inspired by the exterior design of the China Pavilion at the 2025 Osaka World Expo, drawing elements from traditional Chinese scrolls and bamboo, and blending them with modern craftsmanship.
The outer box design features the architectural outline of the China Pavilion, shaped as a rotating scroll. When opened, it reveals a three-dimensional scene highlighting the special liquor bottle, which is centered and surrounded by metallic landscapes, symbolizing 'the Unity of Man and Nature' and 'Green Waters and Green Mountains,' showcasing Moutai's green brewing philosophy to the world.
The top of the gift box features a metal timeline, incorporating three key moments marking the century-long intersection between Moutai and the World Expo. Sliding the timeline reveals a tribute to the 'Broken Wine Jar' installation from Moutai's first participation in the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco. Rotating the timeline a full circle opens the gift box, encapsulating a century of Moutai's history with the World Expo in a compact design. At the same time, the wine jar rotates into a complete shape, symbolizing Moutai’s century of development.
The packaging is made from eco-friendly materials such as bamboo and metal, with a hollow metal sleeve engraved with excerpts from the Analects on the bottle. This sleeve is reusable, reflecting Moutai's deep commitment to sustainable development principles.
