Using modern design as a brush, the project creates spaces that embody both ancient charm and contemporary style. From public zones to private rooms, the layout reflects flexibility, hierarchy, and a seamless transition between social interaction and personal retreat.
The exterior borrows from local architectural traditions, with gray-white stone, red eaves, and smooth modern lines, echoing the surrounding mountains and sea like an ink-wash painting. In the lobby, mirrored ceilings, book-lined walls, and soft lighting establish a scholarly and tranquil atmosphere, while metal frames and stone textures reference the natural landscape and Zen spirit of Putuo.
Guest rooms embrace simplicity and warmth, with natural tones, wood finishes, and smart home systems for convenience. Suites feature open-plan living areas and private tea corners, where sunlight, wood, and the fragrance of tea enhance relaxation.
