The freedom of living alone offers unique opportunities for spatial design. In reimagining the layout, the designer transformed four smaller rooms into two larger, open spaces, creating a sense of transparency and flow. The focus of this design is not on overcrowding the space with functions, but on achieving a harmonious balance between "refinement" and "self-expression" that resonates with the homeowner's lifestyle.
The homeowner favors a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the living room design reflects this desire for comfort. Instead of a traditional TV wall, the designer introduced a French-style fireplace, flanked by artistic display shelves. The design allows for a cozy experience, where, in winter, she can enjoy the warmth of the underfloor heating while relaxing by the dancing flames of the fire. The shelves provide space for her collection of books and artwork, adding a personal touch to the room.
The master suite has been thoughtfully designed for solitary living, with all the amenities one could need—an elegant dressing table, a spacious walk-in closet, a large bathtub, and a dedicated bathroom area. The original double balcony was split into two distinct zones: one side for a dressing table and yoga fitness area, and the other for a bathtub and relaxation space. Sliding doors, with dual circulation paths connecting the bedroom, walk-in closet, and bathroom, offer enhanced flexibility and seamless flow, improving both functionality and convenience.
