"The Middle Way" – this project embraces the Eastern philosophy of harmonious balance as its guiding principle, masterfully mediating between nature and dwelling, openness and privacy, tradition and modernity. The result is an idyllic retreat where "gardens dwell within interiors, and rooms nest within landscapes." Transcending conventional architectural boundaries, it reinterprets classical Eastern garden wisdom through a contemporary lens, crafting a cultured yet effortlessly modern sanctuary for urban elites.
The narrative unfolds around a central courtyard, where a floating staircase is innovatively suspended above a reflective pool—transforming it into an artistic nexus between inside and out. In the foyer, verdant accents punctuate pristine white columns as skylight cascades dynamically, painting an ever-shifting play of light and shadow. Glass pivot doors dissolve boundaries between living/dining areas and the open-air garden, while a tea alcove dissolves into the interior landscape, realizing the poetic Eastern ideal of "a scene with every step." Private zones transition through an art-lined corridor, with bedrooms and studies clad in rich wood veneers and artistic wallcoverings that whisper quiet luxury through restraint.
Material dialogues—such as the interplay of Prada Green marble against deep wood finishes—preserve nature’s tactile warmth while exuding modern refinement. The floating staircase’s mirror-polished water reflection enhances visual weightlessness, while pivot glass doors enable seamless spatial reconfiguration. Every material adheres to sustainability: low-VOC panels, natural stone, and energy-efficient systems ensure responsible elegance.
