This project revitalizes a multi-level heritage home that holds deep generational significance for the client. Although the original structure suffered from an inefficient layout, poor natural lighting, and signs of aging, it was entirely rebuilt from the inside out. The new design introduces a smooth spatial flow and redefines the home as a place for daily rituals and refined living. Casual gatherings around the snack island and intimate conversations in the kitchen-dining area form the emotional heart of the space. Each area is custom-designed to balance function and atmosphere, seamlessly merging elegance with warmth.
The ground floor serves as a welcoming public domain, comprising the foyer, living room, kitchen, dining space, snack island, and a multifunctional room. Sliding partitions and continuous custom cabinetry guide the circulation and offer spatial flexibility. The entrance is composed with symmetry and grace, featuring a dual-faced storage cabinet, ornamental iron doors, antique lighting, and precision-cut flooring that together establish a ceremonial sense of arrival.
The living room is open and serene, framed by angular corner windows and a stone accent wall that anchors the space. The snack island is designed as a social focal point, enhanced by wooden louvered shutters and a carefully calculated beam structure that forms a twin-vault ceiling. This transforms a structural element into a quietly poetic gesture that elevates the experience of everyday life.
The second floor accommodates a grand master suite and dedicated rooms for the children, each tailored for comfort, growth, and individual needs. The master suite draws inspiration from French classical design, blending richness and restraint to create a refined yet intimate retreat.
Throughout the home, French classical motifs are subtly interpreted through contemporary craftsmanship and material harmony. This renovation is not simply a renewal of form but a revival of spirit. It honors memory while embracing the present, weaving together emotion, function, and timeless aesthetics to offer a soulful, rejuvenated living environment.
