This residential design project draws inspiration from the homeowner's rich experiences abroad, striving to redefine the very essence of home. The design elegantly marries wabi-sabi aesthetics with a thoughtful layout that forgoes the conventional living room, thereby creating a simple yet versatile living space. Furthermore, earthy tones and warm wood textures come together to harmonize beautifully with the soothing rhythm of the freshwater sea view. As a result, this carefully curated environment fosters a serene and inviting atmosphere, perfect for open interaction and relaxed living. Each element is meticulously chosen to enhance the connection between the interior and the breathtaking natural surroundings, transforming the space into a sanctuary that feels both grounded and liberating.

The dining table occupies a central position within the space, surrounded by elegantly curved furniture and rich wooden textures that collectively evoke a warm and inviting atmosphere. Notably, the arched door panels and ceiling lines harmoniously echo each other, which creates a seamless continuity as one moves through the area. Additionally, the walls are adorned with iron-framed shelves and meticulously arranged display platforms. These elements strategically utilize negative space to showcase carefully curated items, thereby accentuating the poetic beauty inherent in the design. Furthermore, the designer cleverly capitalized on the building's unique inverted beam structure by incorporating a raised tatami area. This thoughtful addition not only reflects the architectural features but also provides a flexible space that can easily transform into a comfortable guest room.
