This project involves creating a private house plan for a newlywed couple, their one-year-old son, and two cats. The designer aims to eliminate any inconveniences that may arise from adults, children, and pets living together. To achieve this, they are utilizing innovative and unique flow arrangements and spatial layouts, as well as carefully crafted details. The goal is to create a space that is aesthetically pleasing, practical, and safe, allowing the family and pets to live together comfortably and harmoniously.
The designers skillfully incorporated the homeowner's personal style and requirements to craft a living environment that is both cozy and practical in every room. By employing open and O-shaped lines, they were able to seamlessly link all living spaces, resulting in a sense of openness in the communal areas. This approach not only optimizes the utilization of space, but also promotes unrestricted movement for children and pets. Additionally, the use of rounded corners on walls and furniture, along with handle-less storage cabinets, serves to minimize the risk of accidental collisions, providing a safer environment for both children and pets.
The layout of the shared living area features an open design and a horizontal sliding door, creating a spacious and versatile living environment while also maximizing space utilization. The zigzag design adds a unique touch and provides an open area for children and pets to move around freely. Moreover, the curved corners of the walls and furniture edges enhance safety for both residents and pets. Additionally, the storage cabinets are equipped with doors to prevent contents from being disturbed by playful cats.
Shifting away from conventional residential design norms, this project employs numerous curved elements and slanted lines to delineate the spatial layout. Rather than relying solely on monotonous straight lines, this approach generates a distinctive visual impact. Moreover, to accommodate the owner's two cats, the project integrates a specially designated play area for the pets, ensuring that the daily activities of the residents remain undisturbed. The inclusion of safety-oriented installations further promotes a harmonious coexistence between the residents and their feline companions within the same living environment.
