Feast of Natural

Located in Hualien, this traditional Taiwanese-style building breaks away from the typical look of renovated old houses. Inspired by the unique local geographic landscape, it incorporates the magnificent water flow and curved shoreline of the surging river and bay into the spatial flow and immersive sensory design. Integrating the secluded space with beautiful mountains and waters, the rhythm of the circulation leads people from the outdoor courtyard to the pool. The integration of different shades of colors and smooth curved elements on different floors breaks away from the rigid layout and allows the sight to spread like flowing water. With delicate proportions and lighting arrangements, the space scale and visual sensation are maximized through ingenious craftsmanship. Through the space, it recreates the magnificent and beautiful sight of the early pioneers who came by boat and discovered the stunning and breathtaking coastline with surging water flow, conveying a sense of surprise and awe.
Indoor architecture's flow and sightlines draw inspiration from the natural surroundings of mountains and rivers, while responding to the life journey and emotions of the space's users. The gaze naturally follows the flow of air and sunlight, moving in and out with perfect balance, penetrating just enough to connect the independent and diverse functional spaces. Whether it's a bar, an open kitchen, or a space for music or art, one can settle in comfortably with body, mind, and soul amidst natural wood and stone elements and earthy tones. After renovation, the senior-friendly house provides a secluded and peaceful space for users to occasionally entertain friends and enjoy life. Through large floor-to-ceiling windows, natural light is brought in, connecting the interior with the outdoors. The delicate flow and partition design is like the natural flow of water and mountains, quietly blurring the boundaries between inside and outside the building.
