ISLAND IN CLOUDS Experience Center, Guangzhou

ISLAND IN CLOUDS Experience Center is located in Haizhu District, Guangzhou, covering an area of approximately 4,100 square meters. The project deeply interprets the architectural traditions of Lingnan residential design, centered on the concept of "crafting jade with care, returning to a timeless heart," creating a community exhibition space that unfolds layer by layer, guiding visitors through a sequence of respectful and welcoming arrivals home.
The project's architectural design draws inspiration from the classic layout of Lingnan heritage mansions, creating a three-axis, three-court arrangement. The carriage court, ceremonial court, and knight's court are arranged in sequence, forming three vertical ceremonial axes. The front ceremonial courtyard, sunken central atrium, and rear garden with swimming pool extend progressively inward, establishing a tiered, multi-layered courtyard system that offers changing views with every step.
Centered on the design concept of "Jade Palace Welcoming Guests," the project features a scenic wall crafted in the form of a jade palace using green luxury stone, along with an imposing gatehouse measuring 88.88 meters wide and 8.8 meters high. The gatehouse dome draws inspiration from traditional Chinese architectural coffered ceilings, meticulously sculpting 340 delicate white jade treasure boxes arranged in layers to recreate the unique, rhythmic stratification characteristic of Eastern hall domes. On either side of the main entrance, dual jade symbols are deconstructed and reassembled into intricate metal frameworks embedded with over 15,000 pieces of bicolor cloud stone, forming exquisite latticed screens that reflect a luxurious interplay of gold and jade.
The sunken courtyard is enclosed by a metallic texture, surrounding lush trees and flowing water. The meandering circulation line is guided by jade, carving a comfortable resting space. The central station, with "Light Embraces the Journey Home, Honor Reflects the Scenery" as its core, allows light and shadow to coexist with the architectural space.The garden pool is inspired by the concept of "Water Mirror Reflects the Moon, Heart Crosses the Clouds", with the clear pool surface reflecting the sky and clouds, and the gentle ripples soothing the mind. Enjoy the leisurely and comfortable atmosphere by the poolside.
