Cixi Greentown · Phoenix Mansion

This project is deeply rooted in Cixi's rich landscape culture and its ocean-oriented urban spirit. Guided by the phoenix, structured by ritual order, and refined in every detail, the design seeks to establish an open dialogue between architecture and the city, as well as a poetic interplay between landscape and time. Like streams flowing into the sea, it resonates as a surging tide.

The space takes "Yún" (surging waves) and "Yì" (radiance) as its core narrative imagery. "Yún" captures the momentum of tidal waves, echoing the thousand-year history of Cixi as an ancient port on the Maritime Silk Road, while also complementing the wave-like ceiling texture in the lobby. "Yì" symbolizes the light of civilization and wealth, highlighting the glorious intersection of commerce and culture along the Maritime Silk Road, and interpreting the core concept of "capturing the light of civilization, gathering wealth from all directions."
Drawing inspiration from the Yue kiln's secret-color eight-ribbed pure vase, the design uses gilded materials to outline an eight-pointed star, metaphorically representing "wealth gathering from all directions" while also echoing the phoenix totem's "eight directions of arrival." The artistic installations take the form of phoenix feathers, combining feather elements with intangible cultural heritage techniques to narrate a grand story of rebirth and blooming.

The space uses restrained lines to define a layered, progressive narrative. Warm light flows from vintage wall sconces, travels along dark-toned walls, and creates soft halos between mirrors and marble, rendering the space relaxed and poised. There is no loud expression, only composed texture and restrained atmosphere, gently settling one's emotions. The refinement of Shanghai-style aesthetics lies in the collision of details: the coolness of metal wrapped in the warmth of fabric, regular contours softened by gentle curves, where a sense of ritual order coexists quietly with relaxation.
Fengqi Chaoming is more than a reshaping of the skyline; it is a composed dialogue between the spirit of the era and Eastern aesthetics. When the tide sounds, the future resonates here, capturing the surging tide of a city.
