Located in Xinyi District, Taipei, the city’s most dynamic commercial and lifestyle hub, this project responds to a fast-paced urban context by rethinking the role of dining spaces—from purely functional venues into holistic lifestyle propositions. Centered on the concept of “Light Lifestyle,” the design positions food as an interface between the body and its environment, proposing a low-burden and sustainable dietary approach. By emphasizing reduced oil, salt, sugar, and starch, and combining fresh ingredients with precise nutritional balance, the project creates a dining experience that integrates health, aesthetics, and everyday practicality.
Spatially, the design is guided by the themes of “lightness” and “flow,” translating the abstract idea of wellness into a tangible spatial experience. A soft blue palette forms the primary visual language, evoking clarity and purity, while accents of soft orange introduce warmth, vitality, and emotional balance. Color is not merely decorative, but serves as a subtle medium for shaping users’ perception and mood within the space.
Curvilinear forms are extensively applied to soften boundaries and enhance spatial continuity, creating an enveloping and fluid environment. Integrated linear indirect lighting further reinforces this concept, allowing light to function as a secondary architectural layer. Continuous light bands connect different zones, metaphorically expressing the flow of energy and rhythm of the human body, and enhancing users’ sensory awareness.
The sofa area features an arched backdrop as a visual focal point, combining modular detailing with layered lighting to create a dramatic yet refined spatial scene. Framed by an underlying “image-driven aesthetic,” every element—from spatial composition to food presentation—is designed to be visually engaging and shareable. The entrance acts as a transitional threshold, defined by neon lighting and softened geometries, guiding users from the intensity of the city into a calmer, more balanced state.
Ultimately, the project transcends the definition of a healthy dining space, proposing an integrated model of design, food, and lifestyle—redefining how urban users experience balance in their everyday lives.
