In a world where listeners are overwhelmed by infinite playlists, endless podcasts, and nonstop radio streams, the real challenge is no longer access. It is discovery. iHeartRadio, one of the world’s largest audio platforms spanning music, podcasts, and live radio, set out to solve the million dollar question of the music entertainment industry. How do you help every listener find audio that feels made just for them? This project reimagines audio discovery on the iHeartRadio mobile app using AI, not to chase what is trending, but to deeply understand each listener and connect them with content they will genuinely love.
This project was conceived as a capstone partnership between the University of Washington and iHeartRadio, bringing academic research and industry practice together.
