This project aims to go beyond the traditional segmented villa design model, viewing the residence as a complete living entity, and achieving an experience where 'the whole is greater than the sum of its parts' through three core strategies:
- Collaborative Design: Architecture, interior, landscape, and smart consultants work together from the conceptual stage based on the same 'living script.' This ensures that spatial narratives, circulation, and material language seamlessly continue from the exterior to the interior, maintaining functional and visual coherence.
- Integration with Nature: Using 'grey spaces' such as deep eaves, covered corridors, and internal courtyards to guide light, wind, and views into daily life. Combined with visual permeability and climate-responsive design, this allows the body to transition smoothly between nature and the interior, creating an overall space that breathes.
- Resident-Centered: Moving away from stylistic labels, functions and scenes are customized around the owner's living habits and emotional needs, shaping a unique 'living container.'
Through cross-disciplinary integration and a return to the essence of living, this project presents a complete design model where 'the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.'
