This work is set against the backdrop of global digitalization and cultural integration, targeting the Z-generation who seek novel and immersive experiences. By combining AI technology with digital humans, it creates a captivating visual narrative. The story follows the daily life of “Super Marco,” a future youth character, weaving a fantastic journey that bridges the virtual and the real. Super Marco is awakened by the dancing lion, an intelligent home device that is powered by modern interactive technology and takes the form of an important symbol in traditional Chinese culture, often seen during festivals, temple fairs, and grand openings. The dancing lion is believed to drive away evil spirits and bring good fortune. Empowered by cutting-edge technology, Super Marco explores six famous cities in China and Europe, freely exploring floating forests, light shows, Citywalk, and more. This journey is not only an immersive experience of Eastern and Western cultures but also a symbol of how technology can transcend geographical and cultural boundaries, fostering dialogue and harmony between different civilizations. Along the way, Super Marco uses an AI fashion system to change outfits in real time, blurring the line between virtual and real-world clothing. This emphasizes how personal identity can shift and evolve in the digital age.
Visually, the work draws from the most iconic elements of each city, creating strong symbolic associations. For example, using “water town” as a link, the journey takes Super Marco from Venice in Italy to Wuzhen in Zhejiang, China by boat. Through camera movements such as zooms ins and outs and rotations, the scenes transition seamlessly, creating a time-travel-like experience.
This work responds to the contemporary question of “how technology empowers the inheritance of culture” from an Eastern perspective. Through immersive digital experiences, it delivers a message that “wherever technology leads, the future follows,” embodying a vision of harmony between culture confidence and technological inclusivity.
