Within the modest scale of 54.5 square meters, the design responds not only to the shared living needs of a single resident and two cats, but also to a more relaxed and liberated imagination of everyday life. Beginning from the daily coexistence of humans and cats, the designer abandons conventional partition logic and instead uses a raised floor to define zones. This allows the social area to maintain clear functional order without physical walls.
The raised platform becomes more than a difference in floor level—it functions as a living platform where the homeowner can sit, lie down, or pause, bringing the space closer to the body and daily rhythms.
Another key feature is the cats’ vertical circulation system. Using ceiling beams and wall heights, the designer created sky walkways and jumping platforms that allow cats to move freely above the space. These routes are integrated with storage and cabinetry, blending function with form.
Within a limited floor area, the space retains openness while allowing both human and feline inhabitants to share everyday rhythms, forming a gentle and stable living environment.
