Located along Yantai’s 13-kilometer sweeping coastline, this project caters precisely to the northern China’s discerning elite, offering a low-density, refined residence that blends Eastern aesthetics with modern social functionality.
Guided by the concept of “Harmony Between the Coast and Eastern Elegance,” the design weaves architecture, nature, and community into a harmonious whole. At its heart is a carefully composed “journey home”—an unfolding sequence that begins in an Entry Courtyard, flows through a Transitional Landscape, and settles into a Private Living Core. Deliberate shifts in elevation—such as raised courtyards and sunken clubhouses—separate public from private realms and protects privacy. This journey becomes a quiet ritual through four layered experiences: it starts at a ceremonial entrance gate complemented by curved feature walls, moves into a sky-lit courtyard, winds through a colonnaded garden, and finally arrives at intimate, personalized entryways. With every step, the sense of arrival deepens, infusing daily return with ceremony and immersion.
Aesthetically, the project harmonizes modern Eastern elegance with layered spatial composition. A refined color palette anchors the design: platinum luxury stone offers a restrained metallic luster, offset by sapphire-blue accents and warmed by champagne-gold metal detailing. These elements evoke the shifting coastal light, balancing cool serenity with subtle warmth. Each material is selected for its expressive narrative: platinum and sapphire luxury stones convey distinction and preciousness; bronze and champagne-gold metals impart richness and solidity; tempered glass and glass blocks introduce transparency and lightness. Every surface is meticulously finished to ensure enduring quality. Complementing this palette is Zelkova serrata, a Chinese endemic species revered as a “living fossil,” whose sculptural presence adds botanical gravitas without overpowering the overall spatial atmosphere.
For sustainability, this project embodies the principle of “architecture in harmony with nature.” Low-density planning reduces ecological impact, while recyclable materials and carefully transplanted rare plants demonstrate a commitment to environmental stewardship. Spaces such as the premium clubhouse and shaded colonnaded garden accommodate diverse social and cultural activities. This fulfills modern elite’s desire for a balance between tranquility with vibrant engagement, creating an ideal place to live, linger, and belong.
