Yanghe, one of China’s eight famous spirits, was once served as an imperial tribute in the Qianlong court. Known for its “mellow and smooth” taste, it has etched a deep imprint in the nation’s collective memory through over half a century of brewing history. Its core product line includes Hai Zhi Lan, Tian Zhi Lan, and Meng Zhi Lan. In collaboration with designer Pan Hu, the brand now launches the new Yanghe Daqu 52° clear-bottle series. When this multi-billion-yuan heritage brand meets the challenge of the new era, how can a classic be revitalized in today’s consumer market?
The bottle design for Yanghe’s clear-bottle series continues the brand’s most iconic visual symbol, drawing inspiration from the traditional Meiping form. Featuring the classic structure of a small mouth, short neck, broad shoulders, and elongated body, it helps prevent alcohol evaporation and better seals in the pure aroma, embodying the stature and spirit of a national liquor. Building on this foundation, the design artfully integrates the silhouette of a ram’s horn, paired with a “dual collision point” structure on the bottle body to achieve both high production efficiency and consistent manufacturing quality.
In addition, the bottle features a three-dimensional embossing process that meticulously renders the four characters “Yanghe Daqu.” The typography is refined yet retains its cultural soul, ensuring strong brand recognition. The industrial-grade texture comes vividly to life, allowing consumers to sense the product’s quality and craftsmanship at first glance.
