Echoes of Time Dwelling

Echoes of Time Dwelling is a project that focuses on a 30-year-old house, facing the challenge that its spatial layout is hard to significantly alter. Under this constraint, it integrates modern and French styles, striving to create a living space that showcases individuality, fosters emotional connection, and suits modern life.
The Dwelling breaks free from the limitations of a single style in its overall design, deeply integrating French and modern styles while organically combining artistic details with practical functions like intelligence and circulation. The design team carefully planned the spatial circulation based on the living habits of residents, ensuring that their movements align perfectly with the spatial layout and guaranteeing the practicality and comfort of the space. The Dwelling adopts its functional areas to fully address diverse needs, with soft furnishings and lighting echoing each other to enhance the compatibility between people and the space, thus achieving harmonious coexistence of humans and their environment.
Echoes of Time Dwelling applies soft warm tones as its main palette, pairing diverse materials and lighting to shape a cozy atmosphere, letting residents find a peaceful, relaxing harbour amid busy lives. Key areas are also accented with classic French hues like elegant champagne gold, adding a touch of romance and luxury.
In terms of decorative details, the Dwelling incorporates numerous French elements—such as exquisite plaster moldings, retro fireplace designs, and classic French chandeliers—and combines them with the succinct lines and stylish furniture of modern style, balancing individual expression and emotional interaction. This achieves a unity of aesthetics and functionality, infusing the entire space with artistic charm and a vibrant sense of life.
