Summer Palace Wine Bottle Design
A Timeless Tribute to Chinese Heritage and Artistry
Step into the splendor of imperial China with our Summer Palace-inspired wine bottle and packaging design. Commissioned by the Summer Palace Liquor Company, this project brings to life the majestic beauty and cultural depth of one of Beijing's most iconic landmarks. From the intricate arches of the Seventeen-Arch Bridge to the tranquil waters of Kunming Lake, each design element invites you to journey through history, artistry, and tradition.
This isn’t just a wine bottle—it's a visual and tactile representation of Beijing’s regal charm, combining traditional aesthetics with modern elegance. With bold red, shimmering gold, and rich blue as the foundational colors, the design is a celebration of the Summer Palace’s architecture, from the Foxiang Pavilion to the Summer Palace Archway. These vivid tones draw the eye while evoking the richness of Chinese heritage, making every bottle a collector’s piece worthy of both admiration and enjoyment.
A Celebration of History, Culture, and Craftsmanship
The design draws inspiration from the soul of the Summer Palace, with the Foxiang Pavilion standing tall as a model of Chinese garden art and cultural symbolism. The sweeping lines and stone arches of the Seventeen-Arch Bridge, the largest of its kind, have been reinterpreted in the shape and contour of the bottle, symbolizing the bridge between tradition and modernity. The craftsmanship reflects the royal admiration for Buddhist culture, as seen in the Foxiang Pavilion’s three-tiered design, and the inclusiveness of Chinese architecture, brought to life through the details of the Summer Palace Archway.
This project is more than a design challenge—it is a homage to centuries of art, culture, and heritage, encapsulated in a single, luxurious form. Whether displayed as an art piece or shared during special moments, this wine bottle elevates both the experience of the product and the appreciation of Chinese craftsmanship.
