The Wudi culture has a long history. Suzhou gardens are known for their artistic conception, natural, quiet, indifferent, and adaptable. They are decorated and arranged in the limited space with unique artistic techniques, and there are endless changes. People's position in the space, the sense of belonging to the place, emotional memory and future imagination may all determine the appearance of the city. In this project, we start from the culture and urban characteristics of Suzhou city itself, establish a dialogue between history and future with design language, and explore the lifestyle of contemporary urban elites and the relationship between future space aesthetics.
We break away from the constraints of tradition and ideology, form the positive and negative poles of space, introduce the concept and rhythm of Oriental gardens, and the space is reorganized and regulated, public and private, dynamic and static, forming a roaming and flowing miniature universe. At the same time, reshape the contemporary humanistic brilliance, let the traditional culture get a new life, and build a dwelling place leading to art and poetic life.
The hard decoration is clean and neat, endowed with elegant artistic Oriental temperament. The overall atmosphere is transparent and atmospheric, and the tension makes the space rhythm feel relaxed, and the modern deductive technique of traditional garden is used. Modern aesthetic design language is used to express the harmonious coexistence between man and nature, combining art and life, and soft decoration is combined with the regional culture of Suzhou. Contemporary art is used to enhance the height and depth of the original space on the tone of the ancient and expensive space, and create a residence with classic charm, drawing on the scene-making techniques of Suzhou gardens. The concept of "feasible, swimable, liveable and promising" is put into place, and the design concept of "wandering in the garden" is put forward, connecting Oriental aesthetics and spiritual core in the poetic interior space, giving the space a sense of relaxation, warmth and comfort.
