This project follows modern minimalist principles in interior design, prioritizing practicality and comfort by minimizing unnecessary decorative elements. The modern minimalist style emphasizes practicality, simplicity, and functionality, with a restrained approach to colour choices to maintain a sense of tranquillity and harmony within the space. The designer opted for diverse materials to achieve a harmonious balance. Natural materials like wood-panelled walls, marble tabletops, and textured partitions were extensively used, integrating their natural textures and colours seamlessly into the overall interior design. Solid marble elements impart a sense of calm while incorporating wood, which helps eliminate any cold or rigid atmosphere with a blend of gentle and natural touch. The open layout with heightened floor-to-ceiling windows also fosters a spacious and free living space, enhancing transparency and visual openness.
In the context of the modern minimalist style, the strategic use of lighting is considered crucial. Lighting plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall aesthetic and creating a dynamic visual appeal within the space. In this interior design project, lights, unsurprisingly, serve as a vital decorative element. Linear lights are extensively used, adding a touch of vibrancy with the interplay of light and shadow to the otherwise subdued atmosphere. The choice of furniture is also essential in setting the tone for the living space, with fabric sofas taking the spotlight in this minimalist living room due to their softness, comfort and cosiness. Complementing the fabric sofas, the coffee tables are simple and geometric-shaped, featuring glass and metal elements. This, in conjunction with a select few decorative items--floral and greenery that are full of vitality, as well as carpets and curtains with modest colours--collectively contributes to the creation of a simple, comfortable and people-oriented style of life. The pursuit of exquisite artistic taste in this interior design is deeply rooted in everyday life, aiming to create a comfortable living space imbued with minimalist aesthetics.
