Movewell Pilates Studio is designed around the wabi-sabi aesthetic, emphasizing the beauty of nature, asymmetry, and simplicity. The overall color scheme features natural, soft tones, complemented by curved design elements to create a fluid and elegant ambiance. The standout lighting design enhances the space's streamlined structures, while curved glass elements add transparency and layered visual effects. Eco-friendly green materials enhance modernity, functionality, and user comfort, meeting sustainability standards.
Dividing functional areas within the 73 square meters was challenging. Through extensive client communication and design adjustments, we achieved an optimal layout that ensured each functional area was both independent and interconnected. Ergonomics were prioritized to ensure comfort and usability in each area. The lighting design and curved glass enhanced visual depth, making the space appear larger.
The design team creatively addressed building constraints by minimizing the impact of structural columns through design strategies and lighting. Preserving and recoloring the original classical staircase columns, rather than rebuilding, maintained structural integrity and harmonized the overall space.
This design significantly improved aesthetics and comfort while integrating modern technologies like smart locks for added convenience. The client was extremely pleased with the results, especially the visual effects from the lighting and curved glass, which made the space feel more expansive. The color scheme of orange and lavender on the first floor and misty gray and feature walls on the second floor added depth and beauty. Herringbone-patterned plastic flooring and art paint effectively controlled costs while enhancing the space's texture and ambiance. These design elements ensured the space met functional requirements, adding unique design value and market competitiveness.
