Boulder Residence

The first impression is a cold cement gray. The designer covered the social area with cement grey paint and used wood grain and mirrors to dissolve the heaviness of the cold tone. The name, "Boulder Residence", implies that this space is as solid and reliable as a rock, making it an ideal home for the family.
The designer redefined the compartments to make the space more responsive to the needs of the occupants and to provide them with a more spacious area. For example, in the entrance, a color flash was used instead of a height difference to preserve the smooth circulation and to emphasize the theme of the area. In the master bedroom, the visual effect is emphasized. The bedside, walls, and curtains are all in dark tones. Liner lights outline the boundary, creating a calm and personalized look.
