This blanket chest is made from quarter-sawn White Oak and features Walnut inlays of deer and pine trees on the front panels. The hardness and vertical grain of quarter-sawn Oak gives it strength and stability, which makes it an ideal material for heirloom furniture that will be handed down for generations. This design was inspired by the Arts and Crafts era, which was known for clean lines and a timeless style. The inlays of this blanket chest represent the quiet beauty found in nature, but also the inevitable gift of surprise, which is represented here by the Maple and Walnut inlay of the tranquil Teton Mountains that is hidden on the underside of the lid. Together, these elements combine to create a rustic elegance that is the perfect accent to mountain homes in the West.
