The design reinterprets the contemporary workplace through a dialogue between modern industrial aesthetics and the quietness of Oriental Zen. Rather than following the conventional office model of white walls and uniform lighting, the space creates a calm yet energetic environment that supports work, creativity, communication and moments of retreat.
The material palette establishes a restrained yet expressive foundation. Extensive exposed fair faced concrete walls and black ceiling ducts preserve the raw character of the existing structure and create a cool industrial atmosphere. Against this neutral base, saturated wood veneer introduces warmth and visual contrast, softening the architectural austerity. Black and white veined marble, brushed metal details and substantial black grille doors add geometric definition and a refined decorative quality, allowing industrial roughness and crafted sophistication to coexist.
Light is treated as an important architectural element rather than simply a functional necessity. In the work area, a large off white conical pendant softens the sharp geometry of contemporary furniture and introduces a more relaxed visual focus. In the lounge, regularly arranged square crystal pendants establish rhythm and order. Concealed warm lighting traces selected architectural edges, emphasizing depth, framing circulation and creating a subtle sense of suspension within the darker palette.
The spatial organization follows a central circulation axis, connecting the exhibition area, workspace, lounge, tea room and meeting rooms into a continuous sequence. Instead of rigidly separating functions, the open plan allows different areas to remain visually connected while retaining their individual identities. Terrazzo flooring uses shifts in tone and texture to guide movement and distinguish functional zones without interrupting spatial continuity.
Throughout the interior, concrete, warm timber, marble, metal and controlled lighting form a carefully balanced material dialogue. The result is a workplace that moves beyond a purely functional environment, combining the strength and clarity of industrial aesthetics with the tranquility of Oriental Zen. It provides an energetic setting for creativity while maintaining a sense of composure, refinement and spatial depth.
