Tears Speak

Tears Speak is born from a profound contemplation of the emotional undercurrents and physiological mechanisms behind tears. Inspired by Rose-Lynn Fisher’s micro-photography, I perceive tears as topographical maps of our emotions and amber that preserves memory. Within the installation, transparent teardrops suspended in glass bottles resemble emotional specimens sealed by time, silently inscribing moments that words cannot reach. Through the collection, preservation, and exhibition of these "tears," I attempt to give tangible weight to intangible sorrows and joys, exploring the hidden connections between vulnerability, empathy, and healing. The piece serves as a silent inquiry: when a tear is safely treasured, does it also preserve the authentic, vibrant self we once were?
