Whistle: Bone-Conduction Wearable Voice Interface

Whistle is a bone-conduction dictation pendant in a jewelry-grade body: a zirconia ceramic column under a titanium dome, 9.6 mm wide, 28 mm long, about 10 grams — narrower than a fingertip, sized to the band of fine-jewelry classics rather than recording gadgets.
Its sealed ceramic face picks up speech as vibration, directly from the sternum. The wearer's voice reaches the sensor from inside the body, while airborne noise sheds nearly all of its energy at the skin — the channel favors its wearer by physics, and dictation works at near-whisper volume in an open office, a café, a train. Set it on the table and two MEMS microphones behind 0.2 mm laser-drilled rosettes — tuned to resonate at 19.5 kHz, far above the voice band — take over meeting capture. And because the skin channel lights up only when its wearer speaks, transcripts separate "what I said" from "what was said around me" automatically, with no voiceprint model.
The surface stays unbroken. Press-to-talk and a swipe slider are sensed through 1 mm of solid ceramic; a haptic tick answers silently through clothing; the status LED glows through a 0.3 mm translucent ceramic window and vanishes when off. No button, no port: charging is wireless, in its case, and taking Whistle off physically disconnects the microphone. What remains is a small piece of jewelry that gives your voice the privacy of thought — words at the speed of speech, in a room full of people, heard by your machine alone.
