Smart Companionship · Worry-Free Mobility is a smart outdoor wear system designed for healthy aging, supporting older adults in hiking, excursions, and everyday outdoor activities. Addressing environmental changes, physical fatigue, fall risks, wayfinding difficulties, and emergency needs, the design integrates intelligent sensing, active protection, and low-burden interaction into clothing. It establishes a four-level progressive support system of Environmental Comfort, Physical Support, Safety Protection, and Independent Mobility.
The four looks respectively focus on environmental adaptation, gait and fatigue management, airbag-based fall protection, and intelligent guidance for independent mobility. Environmental sensing, haptic rest reminders, concealed airbags, haptic navigation, one-touch return, location sharing, and one-touch SOS provide continuous support across different outdoor situations. Flexible cushioning structures help reduce physical strain during prolonged walking, while concealed airbags provide rapid protection in the event of a fall.
The interaction design follows the principles of minimal learning, minimal operation, and clear confirmation. Automatic sensing, physical buttons, and haptic feedback reduce reliance on smartphones and complex interfaces.
Rather than treating healing as a medical intervention, the design interprets it as restorative physical and emotional support. The experience progresses from environmental soothing and physical relief to safety reassurance, ultimately fostering confidence and independence.
Visually, the series combines Eastern aesthetics with contemporary outdoor techwear. Inspired by Chinese landscapes, traditional cloud motifs, and water patterns, it reinterprets these cultural references through diagonal plackets, cape structures, functional zoning, and technical detailing. Low-saturation gray-green, rock gray, and brown form the main palette, while orange accents highlight key functional areas. Detachable smart modules support maintenance, upgrading, and component replacement, extending product life. Together, these elements integrate smart technology, age-friendly design, and contemporary Chinese cultural expression.
