A Return to Nature
This wedding invitation suite was created as a reminder of the beauty of natural materials, simple forms, and a more conscious relationship with the world around us.
The visual concept is based on a herbarium of pressed wildflowers. Natural motifs shape not only the aesthetic of the invitations, but also the entire approach to their production. Each element of the suite brings together traditional craftsmanship, recycled materials, and handwork.
The invitations are printed on handmade paper produced in India from 100% recycled cotton. Its tactile, organic surface gives the material a distinctive character: subtle variations in colour and texture make every piece unique and emphasise its natural, unrepeatable quality.
The envelopes are also handmade from recycled materials in Slovenia, in a workshop connected to the waste-management company Snaga. They are produced using historic equipment that preserves the traditions of European papermaking, whose origins date back to the sixteenth century. In this way, materials and craft practices from different cultures come together within a single object, united by a shared commitment to the careful use of resources.
The project’s sustainability is expressed not only through its choice of recycled materials. It is embedded in the aesthetic of the suite itself: natural texture replaces visual excess, simplicity replaces decorative overload, and a timeless image of nature replaces short-lived trends.
Today, a wedding can be more than a personal celebration; it can also become a way of expressing shared values. Increasingly, couples seek to fill their ceremonies with messages of peace, unity, care, and respect for the environment. The invitation becomes the first tangible message received by the guests, setting the tone and meaning of the entire occasion.
This invitation suite forms part of a broader call to return to nature, quiet aesthetics, and a more conscious way of living. It proposes beginning an important family story with an object created with care: for the material, the craft, the people involved, and the world around us.
