Mountain Top Hotel

This project is located in the mountainous area of Yaoshi Town in Shangluo, Shaanxi Province. The site has convenient transport and beautiful natural scenery, making it an ideal place for a holiday resort. The development includes a series of facilities such as a hotel, a museum, and a visitor center. The hotel we designed is located at the highest point of the site with the best views, and it serves as the core of the whole development.

From the perspective of views and landscape relationships, the design aims to provide scenery from many different angles. Therefore, a shell structure is used as the main structural system of the building. The overall form was developed through a series of physical models and structural simulation software. Its elegant curved form responds to the mountain skyline and frames a variety of views.

From public spaces to private guest rooms, the design follows the traditional Chinese architectural idea of changing scenery while moving through space, combining function and aesthetics in one integrated design.
