This project is a 270-square-meter expansive flat with panoramic views of the West Hills. It redefines spatial layout through modern design language, aiming to weave the ever-changing seasonal beauty of the West Hills into daily life, thus creating a tranquil "sanctuary for the soul" that transcends mere form and returns to authenticity.
The design prioritizes structural optimization and vision realization: maximizing the viewing aspect to frame the West Hills as a living backdrop; reconfiguring the master suite's circulation, reorienting the bed placement north-south to enhance both living comfort and scenic engagement; and meticulously integrating the dining-kitchen area to establish a functional, orderly, and well-appointed Western kitchen space.
The spatial narrative begins with an intangible cultural heritage engraved copper door and a traditional screen, heralding a poetic dwelling. The living room, grounded in walnut wood and Amazon Green luxury stone, frames and captures shifting mountain vistas and drifting clouds. Accents of purple, cherished by the hostess, engage in a lively dialogue against the deep green backdrop. The dining area features a multifunctional island, becoming the heart of family interaction, while concealed storage maintains visual purity.
The private quarters balance meticulous detail with warmth. An end-scene painting in the corridor alleviates its length, and an extensive storage system is discreetly integrated within walls. The daughter's room is softly defined by curved lines and shares a flexible storage space with the master suite. The master bedroom's reconfigured layout prioritizes the window-framed scenery as a daily morning tableau. The son's room cultivates a crisp, handsome character through defined volumes and textured materials, while the study invites light through glass partitions, with walnut wood enveloping the space to form a serene vessel for contemplation.
This project is a collaborative living experiment with its residents. Through precise restructuring, detailed craftsmanship, and emotional resonance, it ultimately achieves a poetic harmony between people, landscape, and dwelling—realizing an ideal sanctuary where "the heart finds its flow, and the space overflows with richness."
