To preserve these inherent qualities, the silk undergoes no chemical processing, so that the quilt offers a soft, enveloping touch for highly sensitive individuals.
The Ontos Series takes inspiration from landscape gardening, applying its principles to the textile design. It is crafted by hand, yet born of nature. Visually, it incorporates classical Chinese elements into contemporary design and draws from Gaoyu — the subtle off-white from classical Chinese color palettes, as its visual foundation. By integrating the subtle off-white into the silk, the fabric takes on a soft sheen, evoking the reservedness, moderation, and balance of Chinese culture. For craftsmanship, the quilt uses high-weight silk satin, highlighting the natural drape and texture of mulberry silk. The quilt’s outer layer is made using a wrapped-yarn technique. During use, the quilt distributes its weight evenly and drapes naturally along the contours of the body. This creates a subtle microclimate layer between the fabric and the body, helping maintain a sleep environment with constant temperature and humidity.
