Gentle Domain, Quiet Living

The project reinterprets urban residential living through the rescaling of the social area and the strategic introduction of daylight. By adopting a subtractive design approach, the original four-bedroom layout was transformed into three bedrooms plus an open study, establishing a continuous axis where reading, working, and learning naturally coexist, strengthening family interaction.
Following layout adjustments, the unit’s three-sided daylight condition was maximized. Natural light no longer remains confined to window edges but extends into the core, softening the sharpness of the original structure and forming a stable, gentle atmosphere.
Curved ceilings act as the spatial framework. Through curved wrapping and layered recesses, existing beams are reorganized, allowing the ceiling to guide sightlines and connect different zones. This design extends into corner elevations and detailing, creating a consistent and continuous spatial rhythm. The space is ultimately defined not by style, but by lived conditions, allowing everyday life to settle naturally through movement, pause, and breath.
