Tai Kok Tsui - French Pastoral Haven

Hei Design emphasises collaborative design, partnering closely with clients throughout the project—from initial consultations to gather lifestyle needs and preferences, through iterative mood boards and 3D visualisations, to on-site adjustments during measurement and installation. This process ensures the final outcome, like the Tai Kok Tsui apartment, reflects the clients' vision of a personalised French pastoral haven, fostering trust and satisfaction in every detail.

Open Kitchen Transformation:
The project features a thoughtful conversion from a closed layout to an open kitchen, enhancing flow and connectivity between cooking, dining, and living areas. This change creates a spacious, multifunctional hub ideal for family gatherings in the 703 sq.ft. 3-bedroom apartment, with a counter seamlessly integrating as the centrepiece for prep and casual meals.


Design Style:
Embracing French pastoral style, the interiors blend vintage countryside charm with modern functionality. Delicate French mouldings adorn walls and ceilings, evoking Provençal elegance, while rustic elements like floral accents add romantic nostalgia—perfectly suited to Tai Kok Tsui's urban setting.


Colour Combination and Materials:
A serene palette of misty white and creamy beige dominates, promoting a soft, calming ambiance. Morandi-toned cabinetry in muted greiges provides subtle depth, paired with floral-patterned tiles for textural warmth; brass hardware and wood grains introduce luxurious metallic sheen and natural tactility, balancing matte finishes with subtle gloss.
