The Palace Hero’s Trial is an immersive family experience that transforms museum education into an engaging, multisensory journey. Centered on collections from the National Palace Museum Southern Branch, the project integrates narrative characters, spatial storytelling, AR installations, and hands-on workshops to turn history into something children can touch, decode, and remember.
At the heart of the design is the Mission Kit—a take-home toolkit that includes story cards, clue maps, AR markers, and cultural crafting tasks. Children use it to complete artifact-based challenges throughout the museum, translating static exhibits into a sequence of missions. Every element is carefully tailored to align with real artifacts, scaled and designed for child-friendly interaction.
Beyond the kit, the project includes interactive theater, scent experiences, and art workshops that activate all senses. History is no longer locked behind glass—it becomes part of family dialogue, embodied memory, and childhood imagination.
This is more than a museum event. It is a cultural storytelling system that brings the past forward—reshaped, rediscovered, and ready to be carried home.
