The retirement home, designed in a modern Chinese style, is conceived from the homeowner's deep aspirations for their later years. From the outset, the designer focused on two key elements—serenity and comfort—using natural materials and warm hues to create an inviting atmosphere that provides both mental relaxation and practical convenience for daily living. The interplay of wood textures and stone patterns emphasizes refinement and cultural depth, crafting a retreat that blends traditional decorum with contemporary functionality. This design echoes the homeowner’s ideal of "returning to simplicity" in retirement.
[Modern Chinese Aesthetics]
The residence is defined by a modern Chinese style, where the abundant use of solid wood veneer and warm-toned stone exudes a refined, tranquil beauty. At the entrance, a gold-foiled, flowing sand screen is the highlight, seamlessly blending traditional motifs with modern craftsmanship to create an inviting, artistic welcome. The stone TV wall, finished with a gradient layering technique, provides a rich look, while the indirect lighting in the social area enhances the overall quality. In the corridor, slanted lighting and crisp linear elements, combined with wood accents, create an aesthetic that is both classic and futuristic.
[Retirement Home]
Focusing on the strength of family bonds, the design emphasizes both functionality and comfort. The third-floor leisure area integrates a bar, gym, tea room, and KTV room, forming an essential venue for the homeowner to host friends and family. A thoughtfully placed fireplace offers warmth during cold seasons, symbolizing the joyous moments of gathering together. Large windows fill the space with abundant natural light, ensuring that the homeowner enjoys a bright and pleasant residence in retirement, all while being able to appreciate the scenic rural views outside.
