The TG Fitness x Pilates studio, spanning 446 square meters, reimagines an aged structure into a serene and inspiring space tailored to modern fitness. Drawing from Japanese Wabi-Sabi aesthetics, the design emphasizes tranquility, stability, and a subtle yet profound strength. Soft curves and natural materials such as rattan weave together an ambiance of refined elegance, resonating with the predominantly female clientele. These serene elements are juxtaposed with grounded textures like stone veneers and perforated brick walls, adding depth and stability to the environment. Indirect backlighting complements the design, creating a theatrical stage-like confidence for users, enabling them to embrace the grace of movement.
The core design challenge lay in zoning an open-plan layout while maintaining a seamless spatial flow. A striking arched wall serves as the central feature, gracefully delineating the Pilates and strength training areas while providing spatial flexibility through adjustable curtains. The natural wood finishes and fluid forms enhance the sense of warmth, enclosure, and cohesion, inviting users into a holistic sensory experience.
This design celebrates the brand’s core philosophy by transforming fitness into an art form that nurtures both body and mind. Unlike conventional fitness spaces, TG Fitness x Pilates highlights human-centric design with a focus on mindfulness and body awareness. The project elevates fitness beyond physical activity, offering a restorative journey marked by elegance, comfort, and introspection. It sets a new benchmark in fitness studio design, delivering a unique, immersive experience that redefines the essence of modern wellness.
