The Auspicious Crane's Arrival - Swivel Cup

This is a dual-layer, independently structured cup that integrates classical aesthetics with modern, innovative design. Drawing inspiration from the Qing Dynasty craftsmanship in swivel cups, it introduces a detachable inner cup design, addressing the cleaning challenges of traditional swivel cups and adding more enjoyment, flexibility, and practicality to the cup.

The inner and outer cups are connected via magnets for easy assembly and disassembly, while a bearing at the base ensures smooth rotation. This innovation not only preserves the pleasure of rotating and playing with the cup but also supports the free replacement of inner and outer cups, catering to personalized user needs. Moreover, the double-layered rotatable design provides thermal insulation to prevent scalding and aids in heat dissipation, achieving a balance between functionality and enjoyment.

The appearance of the inner cup features crane motifs extracted from Emperor Song Huizong's "Auspicious Cranes" painting, paired with auspicious phrases from his calligraphy such as "The Auspicious Crane's Arrival" and "Heavenly Blue Breaking Through the Clouds," creating an elegant cup rich in Eastern characteristics. The outer cup employs a hollow lattice window design, producing an artistic effect of "One Turn, One Scene," enhancing user experience and showcasing the charm of traditional Chinese art. The inner cup patterns will also introduce multiple series based on famous paintings, serving as a unique medium for displaying Eastern aesthetics.

In terms of materials and craftsmanship, the outer cup uses zinc alloy with a colour process (new enamel), incorporating Southern Song's official kiln ice crackle patterns outlined by gold wire. The inner cup adopts Ru porcelain techniques from the Song Dynasty, featuring a delicate and gentle glaze texture. The overall colour scheme selects the traditional Chinese azure, presenting an ancient yet visually appealing aesthetic that embodies the elegance of the Song Dynasty.
