The Invisible Double Bed features an innovative frame structure inspired by the arch design found in traditional Chinese architecture, particularly the mortise and tenon technique. This design represents a notable advancement in respect of durability and functionality. In contrast to conventional four-legged frames with crossbeams, the Invisible Double Bed extensively employs traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery among the central beam, crossbeams, bed boards, and perimeter boards.
Notably, this design transcends mere wood insertion and connection. The designers have creatively integrated custom metal connectors between the beams and perimeter panels into the mortise and tenon frame. A key benefit of this technique is that it allows for a visually cohesive aesthetic across the internal structure. The insertion of the components enhances load-bearing capacity and impact resistance, reducing the likelihood of loosening to the extent possible and improving structural integrity.
Moreover, the designer has crafted the horizontal bed boards into left and right sections, a modification that drastically decreases the overall package size. This structure further facilitates the transportation of large household items such as double beds.
