This distinguished project at The Riverpark in Tai Wai, Hong Kong, showcases Hei Design Interiors' dedication to transforming residences into luxurious havens of happiness and well-being. The 3-bedroom apartment masterfully combines modern French elegance with meticulously considered design elements and functions.
Inspired by "Sanctuary by the Stream," the design fosters harmonious living through spaces that seamlessly connect and integrate into daily life, offering tranquillity for urban dwellers. The aesthetic captures the essence of modern French style—sophisticated yet inviting—through clean lines, a neutral colour palette, and elegant luxury accents.
Upon entry, the living area immediately evokes a sense of openness, achieved through strategic space planning and the use of natural light. The study room, transformed to be visually semi-open with glass partitions, also contributes to the spaciousness. Large windows in both spaces allow ample sunlight to filter through the tree canopies and harmonize with the Herringbone wood flooring, creating a reminiscence of natural elements found by a riverside.
A notable feature of this apartment is the meticulous attention to detail that enhances its aesthetic and functional sophistication. The built-in alcove shelves, echoing gentle river ripples, blend naturally into the architecture, serving as elegant display areas and essential storage solutions. Resonating with the shelves, opulent metallic accents—bronze frames and inlays on partitions, ceilings, walls, a stylish clock, and a golden audio set—further introduce understated luxury, enhancing the minimalist decor without overwhelming it.
Another focal point of the living space is the electronic fireplace in a French-style frame. This centrepiece marries contemporary practicality with classical design motifs, complementing the wall panels and bespoke furniture with elegant, streamlined mouldings, adding grandeur and warmth, and anchoring the modern French luxury aesthetic.
Each bedroom is also crafted to reflect the sanctuary concept. The master suite resembles the modern French elements, including the elegant mouldings on walls and cabinetry, pastel floral-patterned window seat, and a half-moon-shaped mirror atop the dressing table, forming a peaceful and slightly feminine retreat by the river. The secondary bedroom balances functionality with a chic design in shades of green, accommodating the daily needs of the teenage son.
