The indoor area of this interior design industry workspace is only 60m². The overall concept is based on the idea of "incubation," extending the functionality of various spaces, such as the office area, meeting area, exhibition room, tea room, and even the restroom. To avoid visual clutter, a predominantly white color palette is used to create a bright and open atmosphere. This is complemented by high-gloss materials like glass and stainless steel, along with simple geometric lines that symbolize cleanliness and fluidity, creating a streamlined environment that provides a comfortable workspace. Indirectly, it also conveys a technological and modern image.

The space is organized along a clear flow path, with various reception areas like the negotiation and exhibition zones arranged in sequence. In the public area, we deliberately avoided using fully enclosed partitions to ensure smooth communication between different zones.

In the exhibition room, the central island not only facilitates a circular flow but also serves as a platform for both parties to discuss materials and design. This allows for immediate feedback during client consultations.

One major challenge in this renovation was how to handle the awkward toilet exhaust pipe.

The pipe dropped 50 cm vertically at both ends, instead of running straight along the ceiling. A ceiling beam on one side further complicated the situation. Fully enclosing both the pipe and beam would have significantly reduced the height of the office or created an unsightly mass on the ceiling, both of which would have made the space feel more cramped.

To solve this, we treated the beam and exhaust pipe separately. The beam was concealed with decorative panels and paint, while the exhaust pipe was hidden by slightly lowering the ceiling in specific areas. Through local design adjustments, we minimized the visual impact, and even created a niche at the entrance to hang keys, making the most of the space!
