This group of brooches named "Devour " breaks the stereotype of matching branches, bees and butterflies in common flower jewelry, and uses extremely aggressive centipedes and spiders to replace traditional branches and leaves and deconstruct and combine with petals.
The metal part of the work uses 925 silver, which is combined with hand-drawing and 3D printing technology, and uses titanium gold electroplating blue-purple. The cold color is slightly obscured by the warm jade sheet, but it is more obvious. The combination of sharp silicon cat-eyes and Tanzanite, as well as the monster lurking behind the petals, breaks the illusion of soft appearance, making this picture achieve a fragile balance, seemingly harmonious, but like walking on thin ice. Multiple contrast makes the work extremely impactful, so that the viewer can perceive a slight sense of crisis when appreciating the work. It warns us that in human society, we often need to go through some illusion, see through the crisis or essence behind things, and not be confused by the temptation of the moment.
In addition, the petals of this work are from a partial disassembly of a Chinese Qing Dynasty antique. We are trying to give new life to these ancient works of art. All the jade, metal, precious stones and other components of this work can be disassembled and recycled, strictly following the purpose of environmental protection.
